Carruthers and Jackson Announces Collaboration  with Microsoft

Global data consultancy collaborates with Microsoft to advance data literacy and jointly support organisations on their data and AI transformation journeys

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – 4 June, 2025 – Carruthers and Jackson, one of the leading global data consultancies and part of the Praesto Group, has today announced a collaboration with Microsoft. The collaboration will focus on providing end-to-end support for organisations embarking on data and AI transformations, empowering businesses to embed data-driven cultures at every level. The agreement will commence with Microsoft’s participation as sole partner for the upcoming Carruthers and Jackson Summer School for Data Leaders 2025, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing data leadership.

Part of the Praesto Group, a global end-to-end stable of IT consultancy services, since 2023, Carruthers and Jackson offers a range of data strategy and assessment capabilities to organisations embarking on data transformation journeys. The new arrangement with Microsoft comes at a time when data is increasingly seen as a critical driver of business growth. With Microsoft’s technology expertise, which includes the powerful unified data governance capabilities of Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog, the companies will work together to jointly guide customers through data transformations by developing and integrating scalable data strategies, improving data governance, and ensuring access to quality data across all areas of a business.

The explosive growth in the adoption of advanced technologies such as AI underscores the importance of establishing a strong data fabric to help organisations integrate data across increasingly diverse environments and systems. Introduced by Microsoft, a data fabric approach provides a unified architecture that streamlines data management, making data more accessible and actionable in real-time. Combined with Praesto Group’s end-to-end consultancy expertise delivering complex IT programs and Carruthers and Jackson’s tried and tested model for embedding data culture at every level and empowering individuals with the right tools, processes and methods, joint customers will have a clear path to unlocking the full potential of their data assets.

The strategic agreement also includes joining forces on the Carruthers and Jackson Summer School for Data Leaders 2025, where Microsoft will serve as the sole partner. An annual free-to-attend ten-week virtual course, the Summer School serves to equip hundreds of data leaders every year with the necessary skills, knowledge, and vision to drive data initiatives within their organisations. The Summer School serves as a platform for senior data leaders to connect, collaborate, and learn from industry experts, including Microsoft’s leadership in data and cloud technologies.

“Collaborating with a global technology leader like Microsoft is a significant strategic milestone for Carruthers and Jackson,” said Caroline Carruthers, CEO, Carruthers and Jackson. “The scale and capabilities that Microsoft brings to the table will enable us to further our mission of empowering a global data community we’ve spent many years cultivating. This collaboration not only enhances our ability to drive data transformation across industries but will also help us to accelerate the adoption of data-driven cultures worldwide. Together with the end-to-end capabilities of Praesto Group, and now Microsoft, we are creating powerful opportunities for organisations to unlock the full potential of their data, paving the way for innovation, efficiency, and smarter decision-making on a global scale.”

“Collaborating with Carruthers and Jackson represents what’s possible when data leaders come together with leading-edge technology to prepare their organisation for the ubiquitous nature of AI with clarity, control and confidently activate data,” explained Leighton Searle, Head of Data & AI for EMEA, Microsoft. “Working closely with the team of consultants at Carruthers and Jackson, we can help businesses build a strong data culture, using Microsoft’s tools like Microsoft Purview to drive trusted, more sustainable business outcomes.”
